Microsoft technology - VB.Net

Abstract

In this course, lower-intermediate level programmers gain the knowledge and skills they need to develop C# applications for the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. The course highlights the structure of C# 3.5 programs, language syntax, and implementation details. This module explains the .NET Framework, and using C#, VB and Visual Studio 2008 for building .NET Framework windows and web applications. This course will give you everything you need to familiarize yourself with the core .Net class libraries and become productive with file I/O, collections, networking, and data access.

Visual Basic is a programming language developed by Microsoft. Visual Basic is based off the programming language Basic. The visual part comes from the fact that many of the GUI's (graphical user interface) are built into the program. That means lots of windows and things you are used to seeing in Microsoft and Windows applications can be simply added to the screen and you write code telling it what to do. Visual Basic is a good language to begin with because it uses the same logic as other programs but helps you write your program along the way!
